Summary
Rose Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2008 is, as reader Mr D. Stuckey, of Knowle, Bristol, puts it, "very reasonably priced".
At Pounds 5.49 from no-frills supermarket Lidl, it is the least- expensive New Zealand sauvignon I have come across anywhere - and at no cost to quality. From Marlborough, South Island, now competing with France's Loire Valley to be the world's top region for Sauvignon wines, it's a very crisp example of the classic gooseberry- grassy Kiwi style, with a generous undercurrent of tropical-fruit flavours and a deliciously tangy grapefruit acidity.See the full content of this document
