The National Trust has rejected a call to publicise when and where hunt packs are to meet on its land, after pro-hunters who had joined the organisation voted en masse to defeat it.

The trust's annual meeting in Swindon had been asked to decide on a motion from anti-hunt protestors, who had also joined the heritage body, that the trust should tell the public and police whenever hunts were planning to either meet on or cross onto its land.
