Summary
Volunteers have recovered 60 common lizards, five adders and nine rare smooth snakes from 200 acres of Dorset heath destroyed by fire last week.
Dorset Wildlife Trust appealed for helpers who will be out on Upton Heath north of Poole every morning this week. Steve Davis who is co-ordinating the volunteers' said: "The response has been amazing.See the full content of this document
