Summary
It was so cold that my toes were actually hurting, and my fingers could barely hold the paintbrush I was wielding.
Hardly surprising, since the recent chilly temperatures are less than ideal for standing outside applying a coat of paint to a garden gate. Like most rational individuals, I hadn't planned to get out a pot of paint and a brush during the festive season and stand in the cold for ages. So why was I doing it, instead of sitting inside in the warmth? Alas, I'd been forced into action by someone else, whose behaviour appeared to be far from rational. During one of the recent bitterly cold nights, when normal, sensible people were tucked up in their beds, or out with family or friends, someone decided to stand outside our gate in sub-zero temperatures with a can of spray paint.See the full content of this document
