1989: Wins British Karting Super Prix at the age of nine.
1997: Wins the Ayrton Senna Karting Memorial Cup and also becomes the youngest-ever winner of the European Super A championship. 1998: First place in the British Formula Ford championship and second in the European Formula Ford championship. 2000: Makes Formula One debut with Williams. Scores 12 points to finish eighth in the standings. 2004: Arguably the F1 man of the year, beaten only by the Ferrari drivers in the standings. Takes his and BAR's maiden pole at Imola.
