Skipper Marcus Trescothick hailed his bowlers as Somerset guaranteed themselves a Friends Provident t20 quarter-final place.
The opener cracked a third straight fifty but felt their six- wicket victory over Essex at Chelmsford had mainly been ensured by his attack after they restricted the hosts to 173-6. Once again Alfonso Thomas led the way, this time with two for 24 to extend his lead at the top of the competition's wickets chart.
