Summary
Thousands of people in Dorset gathered at numerous locations to celebrate the big day. One of the most popular places to watch the ceremony was on a big screen at the Electric Palace in Bridport, where bunting and material hung from the ceiling in the foyer and stairwell of the theatre, which dates from 1926.
