Summary
It's that time of year again. My annual guide The Best Wines in the Supermarkets comes out, and I find that, inevitably, several of my favourite and mostrecommended wines have risen in price in just the few weeks since I did my final check with the retailers or, even worse, have sold out.
Naturally I do warn loyal readers of this perpetual hazard in every edition, and I sugar the pill by mentioning the consoling fact that some of the wines will be even better value than they appear in the book because they will, from time to time, go on promotion.See the full content of this document
