I do so hope that David Cameron is not taken in by the olive branch being held out by Germany in the wake of the ant-British rhetoric that followed his use of the veto at the recent summit aimed at propping up the euro.

It means nothing. There is absolutely no subterfuge that Angela Merkel and her French poodle will not resort to in a desperate last- ditch attempt to save the doomed euro and with it, their dream (or should that be nightmare?) of a German-Franco dominated Federal European Superstate.
