Summary


This longer circular route encompasses the far western part of the Mendips. Starting at the picturesque village of Hutton, it moves gently up and over the hills and on to the escarpment.

At Hellenge Hill a spectacular view awaits, taking in the whole stunning vista of the Somerset Levels, the Bristol Channel, Brent Knoll Hill and Steep Holm Island all in one glance. The walk then drops down into the village of Bleadon and crosses the River Axe at the flood defences.
