STRANGE BUT TRUE BUNGLING BURGLAR A suspected burglar was left dangling when he got stuck as he tried to climb through a window. Firefighters had to remove the window frame at the house in Bow, east London, to rescue the man who had been trapped for some time. His legs were still dangling outside and it appeared his bottom had prevented the man from squeezing through completely. The 36-year- old was unhurt and has been arrested by Scotland Yard on suspicion of burglary.
FINGER FORECAST The BBC was forced to apologise after one of its weathermen was caught making a rude gesture live on air. Tomasz Schafernaker flipped his middle finger at presenters Simon McCoy and Fiona Armstrong after McCoy said his weather forecast would be "100 per cent accurate and provide all the detail you could possibly want".
