Straight From the Hip

Summary


Like thousands of other people, I was touched by the passing of Harry Patch, the last remaining veteran of World War One or the Great War as they called it at the time.

I've written a few novels set against the background of World War II and its immediate aftermath. It's not the dates and the reasons why those wars started that moves me to write these works of fiction. It's about how ordinary people coped with the privations and terrors that were only 22 miles away across the English Channel.
