In the second feature on Heritage Open days Tristan Cork looks at some of the attractions taking part in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire The last big Severn Bore of 2010 that can be seen in daylight takes place this morning and kickstarts a weekend of events to showcase all the West's natural or historic heritage has to offer.

Bore-watchers will be packing the banks of the river south of Gloucester as the second biggest tidal bore in the world takes more than half an hour to race up the twisting river from Sharpness to the city.
