Granted, newspaper readers have accused me of being predictable in my vaunting of re-opening railway stations to reduce the congestion on the roads.
Apart from the slight fact that I consider it the most simple and obvious thing to do rather than keep building by-passes, and that I'm no longer in demand from the BBC, it is blindingly evident that the south of Bristol has almost no rail access at all. Huge suburbs like Withywood, Whitchurch, Bishopsworth and Hartcliffe are bereft of Brunel's legacy, which is nothing short of a cultural crime!See the full content of this document
