There's no arguing about it. We have too much stuff. When I think what I owned 30 years ago, I'm horrified by how much furniture, bric a brac, books, clothes and gadgets I've acquired.
We're so hooked on shopping that some people have to hire storage units to house the overflow. Our wardrobes are bulging but we still go on buying clothes that we may not ever wear, and the fashion retailers laugh all the way to the bank.
