Thousands of churches will fall into disrepair as a result of Government plans to remove a tax rebate for repairs on religious buildings, experts have warned.
The Labour Government introduced a 100 per cent VAT rebate for all renovations to listed religious buildings as a reward for hardworking volunteer fundraisers. But the rebate is due to run out in March next year and the coalition Government currently has no plans to reinstate the 17.5 per cent refund.See the full content of this document
