Campaigners have attacked the National Grid for trying to buy farmland against the owner's will so it can build a gas plant.
The company's plans to install a "pressure reduction installation" close to Flat Farm in the village of Tirley, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, have led to nearly 1,000 objections being lodged with borough council planners.
