I am not an expert writer of letters but you should taste my apple pies.

My son, prior to his death while serving in Afghanistan, drooled over them. The last time he was home he had thirds. I bake them in a small gas oven I have used since he was a baby. (Forgive the smudges, it's the tears) My son won't be eating them any more and I miss him, I miss him terribly.
