ON THE LABEL: Farmers' leaders say there is no reason why country of origin labelling should not be extended to the last few remaining production sectors when new regulations come into force next year.
NFU officials say dairy, lamb and pork products should all be labelled to show the consumer precisely where they come from, as an extension to rules which will be applied to beef and veal, fruit and vegetables, eggs, poultry meat, wine, honey, olive oil and EU organic products.See the full content of this document
