I 'd always wanted to write, but never seemed to get round to it - it seems to be a common problem that writing always ends up at the bottom of your Things To Do list, even when it's the thing you most want to do. Waiting for the "perfect time", when everything else in life miraculously clears to leave an uninterrupted novel-writing space, just doesn't work.
Having spent my youth in London, playing in bands and selling vintage clothes, then going on to work in the film industry and write music for TV, I got to a stage when I had a 'now or never' moment, and decided to take a risky plunge.
