Delon Armitage feared his England World Cup dream was over after getting himself needlessly banned twice this year. Instead of his chances being "messed up", manager Martin Johnson has put his faith in Armitage by selecting him in the 30-man World Cup squad, having recalled him for the warm-up matches against Wales and Ireland.
