I couldn't believe it when I heard the Rummer had closed. This Bath pub had existed for as long as I could remember. Its clientele may have dwindled in recent years but it was always packed to the rafters on Bonfire Night.
Its prime spot overlooking Pulteney Weir, towards the recreation ground, meant it was the best place to watch the city's main fireworks display for free, while having one too many bevvies.See the full content of this document
