Heavy rainfall and wet crops during this year's harvest season could lead to an increase in farm fires caused by spontaneous combustion, insurers are warning.
They say the West Country's farmers could risk causing a blaze by promoting fermentation by baling and stacking hay, straw or other crops when they are still damp.
