Summary
Of course there will be no hunting march through the streets of London, "March won't happen, says alliance", (WDP article, November 2). Alice Barnard, new leader of the so-called Countryside Alliance, a front for blood sports, knows full well that most people would view such a march with horrified disgust. Ms Barnard says that the Hunting Act has not saved a single fox's life, and she should know. It is her own members who are flouting the law by killing foxes as before the ban. As for her self-righteous indignation that hunters run the risk of being taken down to the police station - if only they were - for that is where they belong!
It is vital that the Hunting Act stays on the statute book, so that it can be strengthened to protect our wildlife from hunt cruelty. MPs must not be fooled into voting for a Hunting Regulatory Authority, which will try to con people into thinking hunters will be killing animals kindly. There is no room for complacency. Hunters and their apologists will say, and do anything to make their vile cruelty legal again. Unfortunately, in David Cameron, we have a pro- hunt Prime Minister who will do his utmost to please his hunting chums.See the full content of this document
