Steve Coppell says he will hold himself responsible if any Bristol City players are injured during pre-season. City's new manager is focussed on the transfer market and the task of bolstering a squad which requires strengthening in a number of areas.
But his priority will be to ensure those players who report back for pre-season training today are fit and ready to perform when the Robins launch their Championship campaign against Millwall at Ashton Gate on August 7. Coppell has no set formula for preparing a team and claims he will adopt new methods if he thinks they will help City's first-team squad over the next five weeks.See the full content of this document
