A Happy New Year to all motorists. Fuel duty increased by 0.76p per litre, VAT to rise by 2.5 per cent, it all adds another 2.63p to a litre of petrol and 2.73p to a litre of diesel. Don't forget that VAT will be added on to the extra fuel duty. On top of all this there is the spectre of soaring oil prices.
