Summary


An ambulance crew and a paramedic arrived and found that the man had suffered serious head and internal abdominal injuries.

He was treated at the scene and although a doctor and critical care paramedic from the air support unit were en route in a road vehicle, it was thought better for the ambulance to set off for Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, with the patient, and rendezvous with the air support unit later.
