Summary
When it comes to flagship Government policies it's fair to say that reform of the schools system is one that has charted a swift and steady course at a time when others have foundered on the rocks of public opinion.
The sheer pace at which local schools have been shrugging off local authority control and converting to academies seems to have taken even the Education Secretary Michael Gove by surprise.
