Regarding the article in last week's Western Daily Press about the South Wales pit accident. Revolving drums have nothing to do with cutters of the period between the Twenties and the Sixties.

I was associated with coal cutters for 11 years. The first came out in 1913; it was a compressed air driven Siskel. Then in the Twenties machines became more advanced.
