O-level and the 11-plus exams are like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. We think they're extinct, but actually they're alive and well, and still terrifying children.

The international O-level is still one of our most profitable exports, and the 11-plus is taken by all those wishing to go to England's remaining grammar schools. I'd forgotten about both of them until I became involved in a book containing past papers.
