Alice Williams, who has died aged 100, was evacuated to Somerset during the Second World War and ended up spending more than six decades living in the West Country. The great-grandmother died peacefully at a care home in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, on September 19, just over a month after celebrating her 100th birthday.
Mrs Williams moved to Stonehouse seven years ago to be near her son Les, a former town and district councillor in the community.See the full content of this document
