Aveteran table tennis player has celebrated competing for 60 consecutive years in the same league. Ken Simmons first hit a ball in the Bristol and District League in 1949.

In September, despite the hindrances of two replacement knees and faltering eyesight, he will begin his 61st season at the table, playing for the Bristol Civil Service club in Horfield.
