Summary
The Government is to launch a pilot scheme to impose budgets on libel cases as part of a move to cut excessive costs, Justice Secretary Jack Straw has announced.
It is also introducing two other measures, aimed an ensuring that defendants do not have to pay huge fees for "After The Event" insurance which can be taken out by claimants suing newspapers and media defendants.See the full content of this document
