But at least Liam Middleton's men, emphatic 37-33 victors over Cornish Pirates a week earlier, are back in the winning habit after the wobble that saw them lose three times in a row in late October and the early part of this month.

At least they have rediscovered the feeling of victory and the knack of grinding out wins. They were efficient, smart and workmanlike against a limited London Scottish team, who appear bound for the scrap for safety rather than the push for promotion come the end of the season. But that was all they needed to be in order to make it nine wins from 12 Championship games.
