Postal workers mounted picket lines across the country again yesterday at the start of a fresh wave of strikes after the collapse of peace talks aimed at resolving the bitter mail dispute. Thousands of members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) walked out from 4am, causing huge disruption to mail deliveries. The strike went ahead after the failure of three days of intensive talks between union leaders and Royal Mail bosses.
In Bristol, striking postal workers picketed Royal Mail centres, including the Filton Mail Centre, and the delivery centre in Severn Beach.See the full content of this document
