A four-year-old boy was fighting for his life last night after being hit by a car on a main road. It is believed he was on a zebra crossing with his mum and younger brother when the collision with a silver Ford Fiesta took place in Tewkesbury. The three family members, who are from Moat Lane in Staunton, Gloucestershire, were heading to St Joseph's Church when the incident occurred in Oldbury Road.
Witnesses said the child ended up under the car, which was driven by a 38-year-old woman described by police as "local".See the full content of this document
