At last common sense has prevailed over the EU rules about fruit and veg.
We're now at liberty to buy amusingly suggestive root vegetables, bent cucumbers and curved bananas, and a long list of other blemished, nonstandard, non-graded items which hopefully will cost less that the perfect standard fruit and veg of yore. Most of our everyday buys are included, from artichokes to kiwi fruit - at last it has been recognised that nature doesn't produce perfect edibles, and that it's wasteful to throw out food if it's not pretty.See the full content of this document
