Kieron Pollard linked up with his Somerset team-mates for the first time yesterday and admitted playing county cricket had always been one of his ambitions.
The Trinidadian follows in the footsteps of West Indian stars like Viv Richards and Joel Garner and, although his stay at Taunton may be briefer, he hopes to make a significant impact.
