An actor who appeared in The Da Vinci Code has been spared a five- year jail term for keeping guns at his West Country home.
John Hale-Monro, who played a crusader in The Da Vinci Code and a vampire in the children's TV programme Young Dracula, kept a working Victorian revolver in his desk drawer.
