Labour Eats Into Tory Poll Lead
Labour has eaten into the Conservative poll lead, a poll has revealed in fresh evidence that the governing party enjoyed a better public response to its party conference. David Cameron's Opposition still enjoyed an 11-point lead in the YouGov survey for the Sunday Times but Labour picked up three points to trail by 41 per cent to 30 per cent.
A third of married Brits wish they were with someone else - and nearly half would rather be single, a study has revealed. Researchers who polled 3,000 adults found 35 per cent yearn to be with someone other than their partner.
Man Bitten by Shark at Aquarium
An investigation is under way after a 23-year-old aquarium employee was bitten by a shark while at work. An ambulance was sent to Deep Sea World based in North Queensferry in Fife, near Edinburgh, after staff called about the injury at 2.45pm on Saturday.

Campaigners Take to Streets to Highlight Climate Change
Scores of campaigners, a mini Big Ben, a frog and a West MP took to the streets in the fight against climate change. More than 100 campaigners marched around Gloucester city centre on Saturday to raise public awareness of environmental issues.

Paper Rounds Now Done From the Car
The traditional way for school kids to earn money is to do a newspaper round Get up at dawn, sort the papers, drag round a heavy bag from door to door, avoiding dogs and finger-munching letterboxes and then off to school. Not any more. The papers round my way arrive by car. Mum drives her son from street to street, she sorts the papers and hands him one, he gets out of the car, delivers it, and then is driven off to the next address.
Fund Donates Pounds 8,000 for Health Services
The Community Medical Equipment Fund has approved four requests totalling Pounds 8,000 for health services in Somerset. During a meeting last week, the fund granted Pounds 5,000 for a specialist bed for the new wing of St Margaret's Hospice in Taunton, and Pounds 2,000 for a set of steps for the Burnham-on-Sea disabled swimming club, to allow a greater number of disabled swimmers to enter the swimming pool without the use of a hoist.
New Flight Caters to Ski Market
A regional airport is to start its first international services this winter. From December 19, Swiss airline Baboo will operate Saturday services between Oxford airport and Geneva, aimed at the ski market.
